2015 Ford Mustang – 50 Year Limited Edition

Ford Motor Co unveiled the new 2015 Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition at the New York Auto Show.  The first Mustang was introduced back in 1964 at the World’s Fair in New York and this homecoming seems to be a hit. Only 1,964 50th edition will be made based on the new 2015 Mustang GT Fastback with the performance package, no convertibles mentioned for production as of yet. As limited edition go, this thing is loaded to the  hooves with only two option available to the buyer. Those options are the choice of Wimbledon White or Kona Blue color and either a six speed manual or six speed automatic transmission.

The exterior has chrome accents around the head lights and door and rear quarter window apparently the chrome trims will only be found on the 50th Edition. Also on display is the faux gas cap with badge on the rear fascia. Ford didn’t skimp out on the interior either with cashmere stitching and leather wrapped steering wheel. The same treatments carry over throughout the interior in places like the instrument panel, shifter boot, center console, door panels and the seats. Up front bucket seats are wrapped in a two tone cashmere and black leather with the limited 50th logo smack dab in the middle of the seat back, letting onlookers know this is not your average GT.

Under the hood is the big 5.0 liter V8 producing 420HP and 390lb-ft of torques. As with the performance package (available for all Mustang GT models) enhancements the 50th edition is equipped with six piston Brembo Big Brakes kit up front. Rolling stock are 19 inch alloys wrapped in high performance rubber.  According to Ford, the limited edition model will be the first of the 2015 Mustangs to roll out of the factory. If you’re interested in getting your hands on this trusty stead, you might want to start harassing your local dealer today before there gone.
